

ABOUT MICHAEL HAPTONSTALL
Michael Haptonstall ‘s artwork is a mixture of landscapes, architecture, and portraitures. Michael’s work also includes the manipulation of photographs into visual art pieces.
Michael is not focused on one type of genre. As a photographer, he continues to explore different methods and types of photographic experiences. His goal is for the viewer to feel emotion, including curiosity when viewing his pieces. Artist influences include Edward Weston, Frederick Sommer and Ansel Adams.
Michael’s work was recently exhibited at the Shemer Art Center in Phoenix, Arizona from February through July, 2020.
His works have been exhibited at Paradise Valley Community College.
Michael’s work received multiple awards for a judged exhibition at the Arizona State Fair in 2018 and 2019 including first place ribbons.
Arizona Highways featured his photo on July 15th, 2020 on their website for “Photo of the Day.”
